Let’s learn a little more about ya!

  1. What’s your favorite guilty pleasure? That would have to be lying in the sun. I know it’s bad for me, but it feels good and it puts me in the best mood. Besides, I’m able to come up with great ideas and scenes for my books while I’m soaking up the sun! That counts as work, right?
  2. If you could kiss anyone in the world, who would it be? Hmm, my husband is a seriously good kisser, so that’s a tough one. Now if I wasn’t married, and the man wasn’t married, I’d have a list. Only good guys would be on my list: Hugh Jackman (that face!), Dwayne Johnson (that body!), Josh Turner (that voice!)
  3. You’ve got unlimited funds, where would you go, and who would you bring? Of course I would bring my husband and I’d ask my sister and her family if any of them would like to come with us. I’d want to go to Australia and New Zealand as I haven’t been there yet and my sister would love to see the Hobbit shire from Lord of the Rings.
  4. Give us your favorite quote from a movie, include a gif if you’d like! Oh fun! Let’s see the first one that comes to mind is…Well, I love paranormal characters and action and fighting the good fight, so of course my favorite line would have to come from an Avengers movie. I think I love this line so much because it was so unexpected in such a serious situation that I burst out laughing. The whole idea of having unexpected humor in a tense situation is something I love. So yes, in the first Avengers movie when Thor is defending Loki because he is his brother and the Black Widow points out to him that Loki just killed 80 people in two days. I cracked up when Thor said “He’s adopted?” https://media.giphy.com/media/IZR8AEV9dWHhm/giphy.gif
  5. What was your least favorite part about writing this book and why? How did you get over it? That was probably explaining Time Weavers, Inc. I wanted to dribble the information about the agency a little at a time, but beta readers wanted more up front. So I front loaded it a bit because I wanted to be sure readers understood this wasn’t a typical time travel, but more of a paranormal secret agency type story. As far as I’m concerned, if a reader wants it, then I’m happy to oblige, LOL.
  6. What’s the naughtiest or funniest line in the book? Share it with us! Maybe not the naughtiest, though what’s going on is definitely naughty: He stilled, wanting her to crave him as much as he craved her. “Are ye sure ye want this? Want me?” Sigh. I love this about the big guy.
  7. Who inspired the hero? Oh, Torr was definitely an amalgamation of a couple men. I pictured a larger than life man, as in seriously large, like Dwayne Johnson, but with the face and hair of Joe Lando from when he played Sully in Dr. Quinn, but with his hair having a strong tint of red in it. Then again, Torr has a slightly crooked nose thanks to a break when he was younger. I didn’t want him to be too perfect. He crosses his arms whenever he’s thinking, so this could be him.
  8. What’s one thing on your browser history the government would flag? Or would you have your best friend delete it in case of death? I’m sure the government would ignore the sites I have bookmarked regarding weapons of war and torture since most of those sites are historical, but I’d have to have my best friend delete the menage positions and sex toy sites that I used for other books. No really, they were research for books.
  9. Name the craziest thing you’ve ever done. Were handcuffs involved? We’re not judging ;). The craziest? Hmm, let’s go with the craziest I’ll admit to. I stayed at a nude resort. Yup. Of course, it was all in the name of research (cough, cough).
  10. Favorite TV show hero or heroine? And why? That would have to be Duncan MacLeod as played by Adrian Paul in the Highlander TV series. Not only was he eye-candy, but his character was protective, strong, skilled, vulnerable, and sexy. That to me is the whole package.
  11. If we Googled your name what would we see? You do know I just had to Google my name to see what I would find. It’s almost exclusively my books. With a few other items when a person named Lexi “posts” something. In the images, it is myself and my books and as I scrolled farther down I saw a lot of much younger Lexi’s.
  12. You have multiple personalities, describe some of them. Hey, who told? Let’s see, there is the introverted writer who leaves the house about once a week. Then there’s the extroverted hat-wearing author who just loves talking with readers! There is also the professor. Yes, I still teach English at the college level on a part-time basis. There’s also the life-long dancer who can’t listen to music without moving. Of course, there is the cat loving, tea drinking, ice cream eating personal Lexi, as well as the totally head-over-heels in love with her husband, Lexi. I could go on, but I’d rather not bore you (or reveal too much!).
