In New York Times bestselling author Chantal Fernando’s latest novel in the Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club series, Rake—baddest of the bad boys—gets his own romance at last!
Rake is known for being up for anything, in and out of the bedroom. He’s wild, he’s deadly, yet quick with a joke or a stolen kiss. Known as the player of the WDMC, he loves women, the more the merrier. However, behind his womanizing façade, Rake hides the pain of losing his first love, Bailey. He hasn’t loved anyone since, and doesn’t think he ever will.
Seven years after their split, Rake and Bailey run into each other at the MC’s favorite club. Old wounds resurface, secrets are spilled...and passionate feelings are awakened. But they’ve each done things to hurt the other, hurt them too badly to get over it—haven’t they? Only when Bailey’s connection to Rake puts her in danger from another Club member does he realize that there’s nothing he won’t do to protect her—and claim her as his once again.

Review

Chantal Fernando is a genius! I absolutely LOVE her Wind Dragon MC series so much that I jumped (literally) at the chance to read Rake’s story.

Oh Rake. He’s the top man-whore of all man-whores… (if that’s even possible). He’s gone through more than his share of women, but he still can’t let go of the one who broke his heart years ago. Until one night at Rifts his past has come full forced back into his life, whether he accepts it or not.

Bailey is a sweet, intelligent and has done everything in her power to provide for her daughter. She hasn’t seen anyone in her past for a long time, but one night at Rifts and she’s thrown back with Anna and Lena who were old friends. As she gets reacquainted with her friends she get’s blindsided seeing her ex-boyfriend Adam (aka Rake) who’s enjoying the presence of two beautiful women. Unfortunately, their reunion lashed with pain and anger.

Will Rake and Bailey be able to work through the past before it destroys their future?

Rake’s Redemption was so amazing that I read it all in three and half hours! I just couldn’t get enough! Rake and Bailey have great chemistry even when they were biting each other’s heads off. I will admit that I felt like it kind of dragged during certain part and I felt like her “big secret” that she was protecting Rake from should have gone more in depth instead of lightly pressing the issue of what happened. However, after everything was laid down bare, you felt their relationship really picked up into a more happier state where Rake and Bailey managed to get to know each other again. Also, I’m a sucker when it comes to men claiming a child even if they aren’t theirs by blood. That makes me love the man even more!

Additional to Rake and Bailey, I love seeing the previous characters who all made wonderful appearances throughout the story. Faye even made some remarkable jokes that had me laughing so hard tears sprung from my eyes. I can’t wait for Irish’s story to be told!

I would highly recommend the Wind Dragon MC series– Reviewed by Julianne Knutson

From award-winning fanfic phenomenon Sophie Jackson, the third novel in the sexy and emotionally intense blockbuster A Pound of Flesh series.
Life in New York for ex-con Riley Moore is pretty damn good, until a call from his mother shatters the calm: his father has suffered his second heart attack in two years and is in a critical condition. Leaving everything behind, Riley flies home to Michigan for the first time in five years to support his mother and do his best to make amends with his father. He also tries not to think about Lexie Pierce, the only girl he ever truly cared about, and who broke his heart.
When they inevitably meet, memories of their love make Riley yearn to reconnect, despite the pain they both suffered. Though she's wary, and has a secret she’s hidden from him for five years, Lexie has little willpower when it comes to Riley and she agrees. Besides, after all that has gone before, she owes it to both of them to find out if they can love each other again.
Can they both overcome their sorrow and secrets and finally share their life together?
A powerful new voice in modern romance, Sophie Jackson has crafted a passionate love story with unforgettable characters that will stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page.

Review

How do you measure love? How much love is enough to make a relationship survive loss, depression, and your dreams being shattered, even though you loved a person almost your whole life? These are the questions Lexie faces when life as she knew it was gone in an instant. She had dreams and an amazing boyfriend who was also her best friend, but after losing the first man who loved her, her father, depression and self-doubt set in. As she sank further into that darkness, she also began doubting her amazing boyfriend, Riley. In a weak moment, she forces him out of her life. That decision will have consequences that change both of their lives. Years later, the two are forced to find some closure after Lexie reveals a secret to Riley. When the dust settles, will these two finally be able to find their way back to each other forever?

I love a book that tugs at my emotions and characters that find their way into my heart. This book did both of those things. I knew it was going to be special when I read the first few pages as Riley relates the first time he saw Lexie. I just knew these two were meant to be together despite all the obstacles in their way. I loved the fact that his heart always belonged to her even when she pushed him away. The flashbacks told the story of them falling in love, and they just melted my heart. I wanted to shake Lexie for doubting Riley and pushing him away. However, as more of the story was revealed, I came to understand her motivations. Depression and grief are very real things that can distort reality sometimes. Jackson took her time in the two of them rebuilding their friendship and love for one another. When your trust is broken, it takes time to rebuild a relationship even though you love that person. Riley was by no means perfect either, and because they each were flawed, I loved them even more.

This is the first book I have read by Sophie Jackson, but I downloaded most of her other books today. Despite periods of sadness in this book, it left me with a warm feeling in my heart! I won’t soon forget Riley or Lexie! I highly recommend reading this one TODAY!!! I can’t wait to dive into the rest of them! – Reviewed by Christie Mitchum

Review

I’m sure all of you noticed, but this cover is so hot that I’m almost breathless! I mean look at those abs!!! Damn! (haha.)

First of all I want to say that this story deserves more than five stars, but that’s all I’m able to give it.

I am sad to say this will be the last installment of the “Real” series that the lovely Katy Evans has written, but have no fear because this book is smoke HOT! Normally I write my own version of the blurb, but I can’t because I would be so tempted to reveal events that everyone should experience themselves.

But I will say this! Legend is an amazing book and I couldn’t put it down AT ALL! Katy has managed to not only help me find my love toward MMA fighting once again, but she made this story powerful and bittersweet. I was a goner before I even finished the first chapter.

I love Maverick. His character is certainly complex which I loved because with each page I got to find a little bit more about him. Mystery was the key for this story for me because it wasn’t predictable and the suspense kept me going. I enjoyed that we didn’t see right away what Maverick had planned. (hehe- can’t say anymore.) Now, Reese was a sweet, intelligent and very determined when it came to Maverick which I found intriguing, but what I love was that she seemed to have just a tad bit of innocent/shyness which I believe had Maverick lock in on her.

Once again Katy did an amazing..no wonderful…no SPECTACULAR job with the writing, development of the characters and most importantly the relationship between Maverick and Reese. Their wasn’t as much drama like the other books which was a relief. I don’t mind drama, but it was nice to see that they weren’t going to have an unnecessary argument or misunderstanding that could be cleared up right away. In addition I loved that we get to see all the other characters from the previous books and of course Remy and Brooke’s little son, Racer. (He’s just darling!)

I have to say that Remy might have to move over because I’m loving Maverick. 😉

If you’re a fan of Katy Evans that I highly suggest reading the “Real” series!
