I make my living as a hustler, and I'm great at it. I don’t have a single tell and I use that to my advantage to manipulate any situation. I’ve always known what a person is about to do before they’ve even decided.
That is, until I met Penelope. I can’t get a read on her, and what’s worse, she doesn’t want anything to do with me. Which only makes me want her more.
Now I’m in for the hardest hustle of my life. Somehow I have to convince her she belongs with me. Good thing I’m always up for a challenge.

Review

“Hustler” is my first book by Meghan Quinn and Jessica Prince and it won’t be the last!

Gavin is cocky, confident, intelligent, sexy, but also a challenge. He’s grown into a human lie detector by simply watching. Watching for the slightest tell that would lean in his favor as he makes a fortune by playing cards. This sexy beast of a man has everything he could ever want, but for the small fortune he gained, he lost the ability to trust. Walls of steel are placed around his heart, but that doesn’t stop this man from being like every other rich guy. I mean why shouldn’t he? He’s got it, so why not flaunt it?

Penelope (aka Nell) is waitressing, but her dream is to be able to preform under the light in Vegas, but to her dismay no big “yes” has come her way even after all her auditions. Unfortunately for Penelope that isn’t her biggest worry. As she daily talks to her mother and father (who recently injured his back), she’s has to figure out how to earn extra money for her parents. Which means she has to hold her breath when it comes to the high rollers without letting her temper get the best of her.

When these two collide you could say the temperature just went up 100 degrees! Penelope isn’t all impressed with Gavin especially when he puts her job on the line with his games, but Gavin is all to pleased with the new challenge that snagged his eye.

I absolutely loved this story! The chemistry was right on points and Penelope character was a hoot! Her temper was the best weapon she had and I believe that might be enough to disarm our sexy man, Gavin. Gavin is a man built for sin, but we all know that men like him needs a woman that can root him to which our lovely leading lady, Penelope is the right gal for the job! This is duel POV which I feel like increased the excitement.

I highly recommend for a romantic comedy.

synopsis

She’s a romantic at heart.

Chloe Delaney had three very specific wishes, growing up. She wished to stay settled in the small mountain town of Pembrooke, where she grew up, to one day be her own boss, and to fall in love with a man who would be willing to go to the ends of the earth for her. With her roots firmly planted in Pembrooke’s soil and her bakery, Sinful Sweets, thriving, two of her wishes have already come true. When a handsome single father moves to town, she’s certain she’s found the man to fill the role of wish number three.
The only problem is, you can’t force a frog to turn into a prince.

He isn’t the Prince Charming type.

When Derrick Anderson moved from Jackson Hole to the small town of Pembrooke, he did it determined to wipe the slate clean. After eight years spent trapped in a miserable marriage, he’s made a vow to never take the plunge again. He wants to be untethered, not tangled up in the strings that come with a committed relationship. He has his daughter, his career, and an ex-wife hell bent on making his life unbearable. His plate is already full.
The only problem is, he didn’t have a plan in place to protect his heart from her.

Neither of them were prepared for the course their lives would take. But once a rollercoaster begins to move, you can’t just climb off, now can you?

The only thing they can do is strap in, hold on tight, and enjoy the ride.

excerpt

I’d always thought of Chloe as cute, pretty in a girl-next-door kind of way. But when I stepped through the doorway leading to the backyard, the sight before me was one I hadn’t expected. She looked… well, hot. She was the type of woman who wore minimal makeup, and it worked for her, but now… now those big doe eyes of hers stood out, and the way her hair hung down her back in wild, attractive curls… I couldn’t quite put my finger on why she appeared so different, I just knew she did.

And the way my dick twitched behind my fly screamed to the fact that it was not a good thing. Head out of the fucking gutter, Anderson. Chloe wasn’t the type of woman I needed to ogle shamelessly. She was a friend, someone I cared about. She was the type of woman you kept, putting a ring on her finger and surrounding her with a white picket fence and a shit load of kids. And as a man unwilling to give her what she deserved, I needed to get myself in check.

Because she deserved better than anything I was capable of giving her.

Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That’s why God created central air, after all.

Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy–she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.

In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand.

Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.

F&I.Ebook

Synopsis

Pepper O’Malley isn’t one to be toyed with. Fool her once, shame on you. Fool her twice and they’ll have trouble finding your body. She used to dream of white picket fences and happily-ever-afters, but now she lives in the real world. As the saying goes, Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, especially when that woman is a redheaded spitfire.

Griffin Locklaine always viewed commitment as a four letter word. He was clear about what he wanted from the start and made no apologies for it. He didn’t care if he came off cold as ice. He lived for his job, his family, and his friends. He had no desire for a relationship. That was, until he saw the once-young-and-scrawny Pepper all grown up.

They’re like oil and water, fire and ice. A volatile combination that should never work together. Unfortunately fate has other ideas. A spark like theirs left ignored has a tendency to burn out of control, leaving everyone to wonder who will be left standing when it finally explodes. Only one thing is certain. When they finally come together it’s going to be epic.

**Fire & Ice is Griffin and Pepper’s story. It is book 1 in a spin off series for characters introduced in Love Hate Relationship. It is recommended you read Love Hate Relationship first**

Beautiful slim woman's body

Excerpt

“You’re being weird.”

“You’re beautiful,” he responded, and my jaw hit the floor. That was it. I didn’t know what game he was playing, but I wasn’t going to have any part of it. I’d already let him use me as his own personal game piece once before. I’d be damned if I was going to do it again.

“And you’re officially creeping me out. Unless you want to have my five inch stiletto surgically removed from your ass, you need to back the hell up.”

His full lips twitched with humor as he moved back a few inches—not enough for my liking so I shoved him further. “Have I ever told you I love it when you get feisty?”

I narrowed my eyes in anger. “And have I ever told you I’ve fantasized about setting you on fire?”

“You’ve fantasized about me?” he asked. “That’s so hot.”
