A new standalone novel by six-time USA Today bestselling author Lacey Silks. We share the same birthday and breathe the same air. My best friend Nick, lives next door and our windows are only a foot apart. I know him better than he knows himself, but I can't tell him that because well, he's a boy... that is, until he grows up and becomes a man. A strong, handsome and persuasive man I would die for. He is the first person I see each morning, and the last person I see when I go to sleep at night. My life is his and his is mine and everything would have been perfect if he didn't choose to leave. Note: Yours and Mine is a standalone friends to lovers contemporary romance novel suitable for mature audience only.

Review

It has literally taken me days to be able to write the review for YOURS AND MINE by Lacey Silks. This book was outstanding, I cried from page one till the end of the book, and then cried some more. I don’t think that I have actual words that would be able to express to you how amazing of a read this was, but I will give it a shot.

YOURS AND MINE is the story of Joelle (Jo for short) and Nick, friends for as long as they have been alive, all their friends think that they should be a couple, it is just Jo and Nick that have not admitted it to themselves. Then there is Carter who is as much in love with Jo as Nick is, but Carter is not afraid to show it, but Jo does not have those types of feelings for Carter. Finally when they are in high school Jo and Nick are ready and declare their feelings for one another, not wanting to let their friends know they decide to keep it a secret. Things are great for Nick and Jo, that is till Nick announces that he has enlisted in the Navy and is leaving a week after prom, but in fact leaves the day after prom for training. Jo is so hurt by what Nick has done, but its only for a year, they can survive that, right? The twist and turns of this story, with Nick and Jo and Carter, the heart wrenching things that the three friends go through will leave your heart in pieces and the tears streaming down your face and you will be left wondering who Jo will end up with. Loved every page of this book , it is worth a reread in the near future.

YOURS AND MINE by Lacey Silks was the best ugly cry book that I have read it a long time, I finished this book and then texted/facebooked all my reader friends and told them that this is a must read book, with a box of Kleenex on the side. I would give YOURS AND MINE 5/5 stars. – Reviewed by Kendra Needs
