This is Ivy Stone’s debut novel? She did a great job!

Our story begins when Lindsey is 18. Her and her sister, Ali, come home from school and the smell of the meth lab in their apartment is so strong. Lindsey calls out for her mom, no answer. As she’s heading to find her mom she sees money on the counter and decides to take some to stash away, so she can get away from this environment. She finds her mother….unresponsive.

Lindsey tries to raise herself and Ali, doing what ever she needs to do. Whether, it’s good or bad…you have to make a living, right? She now has money, earned unconventionally, Ali seems to have chosen the path their mother went down.

Let’s talk about Mason….he’s HOT!! Just when you think he can’t get any hotter…he’s the dad of a daughter…..**sigh**. He’s a detective and sometimes is distant and moody. He meets Lindsey and likes what he sees. However, he has no idea what Lindsey does and how much on the wrong side of the track she’s on! Mason has secrets of his own! How is this relationship going to work?

This was a fairly long book and every page was packed full of pertinent info. I don’t think it was too wordy or too descriptive. I loved the character development and felt as though I knew all the characters! A great beginning to a new series!!
