Maybe it’s the way his eyes glisten now or the fact that they are even darker at times. I can’t help but wonder what it would be like if Jax could love me. I know that I’m imagining things at night when he asks me to stay with him in his bed. I feel him watch me. But what if I wasn’t imagining it, what would that mean?
OMG!!! Although this is a short book, boy does it pack a punch!! Each book in this series gets better and better!! Plus, more and more frustrating, I must add!
Jax and Bella are married at this point. He’s the “boss” and Bella is his trophy wife. Jax knows he’s in love with her, but will never admit it to her. His deceased wife was his whole world, she was killed in a car accident and…. she cheated on him. It’s a good thing she died in an accident, otherwise Jax would have had to kill her himself!
Bella is still defying Jax. She wants to be in charge of her Papa’s business, but as a “trophy wife” Jax won’t hear of it. She is in love with Jax, but since he can’t love her (so he says) she’s decided to have a little fun defying him. Although they are having sex, he never invites her to spend the night with him. Bella just wants to be loved and have a family, is that too much to ask?
There was so many nail biting scenes in this book, it’ll make you read faster! Thank goodness it’s a short book and can be read in one sitting! I loved at the end of the book where Kimberly Blalock apologies for there being a cliffhanger. Not that it makes me any happier, but at least she apologizes! LOL Book 4 must be full of erotica and adventure is all I’ve got to say! Looking forward to reading book 4 next month (ugh a whole month to wait)!
