A long time ago...
I was young and naive. I thought I could save the world. I thought that protecting those around me from hurt and pain was what I was born to do. She made me feel that way. Ava Links, the little girl who was too fucking stubborn for her own good. The little girl who absorbed the hurt and pain of everyone around her and tried to bring sunshine to them all. The little girl who didn’t give a damn if people picked on her about wearing a crown and tutu every day. A little girl who somehow looked at me, expecting—no, damn near demanding—I protect her.
I saw the pain she hid, and as I grew older, I understood that pain. The pain of being so much to so many that there is really never a “you”.
I took control of my life...
I had to get away from everyone who pulled at me in order to claim myself. When I became the man I was destined to be, I began to live. Then, one drunken night, Ava Links, no longer a little girl, said the right damn thing to me, and everything changed. After seven years of fucking her while home on leave with no expectations, now my life is out of control…
One bad dream, one I love you, one night of pushing her the hell out of my life, one drummer stealing her heart, and one explosion took everything away.
Lies are told. Lies are unraveling. Lies are going to destroy. These are my truths

Review

This book was absolutely amazing, from start to finish I was sucked in and literally could not put it down, the only reason I did not finish reading it in one sitting was because I had to get up for work the next morning, otherwise I would have read it all at once.

The story and the writing in this book is very fast paced and will keep you hooked and feeling like you are right there with Ava and Luke as they go through the struggles of life.

Luke and Ava, whether they are together or apart, have taken a little piece of my heart and run away with it, these two have hurt and been through so much, the story was so well written that I forgot how little time had passed from the ending of book one to where book two picked up.  Book one ended with Ava having her babies early when she learned of T (her boyfriend) passing and that Luke had been in an accident while on a mission ( he is in the army).  While both Luke and Ava struggle to put their lives back together, Luke learns something about Ava and her babies that sends his world spinning again.  Luke sets out to right the spinning of his world, and at the same time tries to help Ava bring her world back on its axis as well.  Luke and Ava are so stubborn, each in their own way, and I spent half the book holding my breath hoping that Luke will be able to knock down all the walls that Ave has put up around her and the babies.

I am not ready at all for this series to be over, my heart has been torn apart (in a good way) with Ava and Luke’s story, through book one and two (27 Lies is Luke’s story and is book two in the series, book one is a must ready before book two), both of these books will be added to the shelf of my must reads, and Luke and Ava will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I would give 27 LIES: LUKES STORY 5/5 stars, if there were more stars to give I would this book is very deserving of more than 5stars. – Reviewed by Kendra Needs

In a powerful, smoldering novel from the bestselling authors of the Caldwell Brothers series (“Bad boy heroes to die for!”—Tracy Wolff), two tortured souls team up to overcome the past, finding the courage to heal . . . and to love.
Jason “Cobra” Stanley was born to fight. With a father like his, he had to toughen up just to survive. Now Cobra tries to take out all of his frustration, all of his anger, and all of his pain in the MMA cage. But after he receives one too many hits to the head during a match with Jagger Caldwell, the cycle of violence comes to a screeching halt. Cobra wakes up in the hospital, under the care of a nurse whose blond hair shines like a halo—and whose pure heart touches him on the deepest level.
Lorraine Bosch is a fighter too. Having escaped from her own controlling father, she prides herself on remaining professional, despite the chaos of the ER. But Cobra is the ultimate distraction. Lorraine knows she should run away screaming from his rippling muscles and shattered psyche. And yet how can she deny this broken man a second chance—especially since she knows exactly what he’s been through? Lorraine’s used to playing guardian angel. Now it’s her turn to find heaven in Cobra’s arms.

Review

Wow!

Just wow!

To live in fear, to be ruled by it- guided by it, is not living.
Lo is not truly living. Heidi is not either but for a completely different reason.

Stumbling upon the blue eyes Angel was a hit that Jason seems to relish. She seems perfect…then he learns more about her. Her story is severely screwed up. She has many things to work around but for compressions can’t walk away.

Two broken people cling to the one right thing in their lives. Will they be strong enough to fight for it?

Wow. I honestly didn’t catch the guilty party. I did figure out other aspects but that was lost on me. I love being surprised and this story got me. The feels, the constantly being on edge, the need for more…the rawness of the main characters. Just wow!

Intriguing
Suspenseful
Hot, naughty chemistry
Lack of control

Pick any one of those phrases or all of them and they won’t even begin touch the surface of Visibly Broken. – Reviewed by Becky Rendon

From USA Today Bestselling author, MJ Fields, comes a gripping story of love and it's many truths.
Ava Links was raised seeing the different sides of love. The beautiful and the broken. Through it all, she knows the journey she is taking will lead her to the man she is destined to be with. The man she has always loved, Luke Lane.
But as we know, there are no guarantees in this world, no promises that can not be broken, and no way you will know what tomorrow brings.
**** A note for the readers****
At present time, this story is slated as a duet. In the writing process things change. This story has been begging to be told for two years. Although not necessary, The Love series, The Wrapped series, and The Burning Souls series can be read before The Truth About Love.
This is not Steel or Caldwell, but at the core is a strong family just the same. It does not promise an HEA or laughs. This is heart, heat, and will evoke feelings that are not always pleasant.
To the lovers of my first works. You have been patient. You have been... persistent. The wait is almost over. After you read this, please remember you asked for it. Love you anyways.

Review

Right off the bat, I have to say that MJ Fields has touched every possible emotion and then some through this remarkable story. I believe that anyone that reads this story will go through serious withdrawals and cry so much that you’d think a pipe had burst. I can’t count how many times she’s managed to spring a smile from my tear stained face.

I can’t say anymore other than this is a must read! For me, this is by far the best book that I’ve read by MJ Fields and I look forward to reading more in the future.

I highly recommend!
