For Mackenzie Cox, racing motorcycles is in her blood. Born into a family legacy, she's determined to stand out her rookie year. But her family rival's newest racing prodigy--the exceedingly arrogant, outrageously attractive Hayden Hayes--keeps distracting her. The stakes are high and her family's future is on the line. Kenzie needs a win, and she also needs to stay away from Hayden. Unfortunately for her though, one thing has become all too clear: she can't. Fueled by passion, driven by desire, Hayden and Mackenzie both want to win more than anything else. Except for, maybe, each other. But anger, jealousy and extreme competitiveness aren't their only obstacles...
S.C. Stephen’s has a new story to share with all of us! I was super excited to get a chance to read Furious Rush because a)this story has to do with racing, b) we got rival’s in the house and c) it’s by S.C. freaking Stephens!
Mackenzie and Hayden are both well known in the world of world of illegal street racing. Mackenzie has grown up around racing all her life considering her father was legendary. Now she’s ready to handle the spotlight and that doesn’t mean sharing it with Hayden. Who just happens to be the newest member from the rival team and the last thing she needs as a distraction.
Will these two carry on the feud that started years ago, or will they be the ones to break it?
Furious Rush certainly caught my attention and I loved that these two key characters, Mackenzie and Hayden are rivals up until a certain point of the book. A long history of bad blood between the two companies certainly kept the suspense of the story. However, I was a bit befuddled and angered by the way Mackenzie’s so called “friends”, crew, sister and father basically trampled over her own feelings and opinion in general. I couldn’t understand why she let them ignore and disrespect her. Other than that, I found the story enticing and the pace was great.
I recommend for those who enjoy romantic suspense. – Reviewed by Julianne Knutson
