Review

**New author alert** This is the first book I’ve read by the author and have to say I wasn’t disappointed. The author pulls you in from the beginning and keeps you till the very end. This is a quick read but it’s worth it.

Lucy works at a flower shop and loves doing what she does. She lives in Seattle with her two cats and Arden comes to see her when he’s not working. Lucy loves Arden with all her heart and will do anything she can for him. Lucy knows something is wrong with Arden after he receives a phone call one night but she can’t ask him as it has to deal with his job. When Lucy gets kidnapped, everything changes for her.

Arden has been with the DEA for far to long. He is ready to settle down with Lucy and start their life together. He’ll do anything he can for the woman he loves. After receiving a phone call one night, things change for him. He goes under cover to bring down the cartel that killed his best friend and returns home afterwards. He returns to Lucy’s house only to find that she is not there and has been kidnapped. Now he’ll have to do anything and everything to bring her back.

Even with this being a quick read, you get so much out of the story. This book will keep you on your toes and you’ll want to know how things go. The connection that you feel between the two characters and the love that they have is touching.

Good job to the author and look forward to reading more books by her. – Reviewed by Mary Forster
