After a passionless marriage under the scrutiny of high society, Avery Stowe is taking back her life. All she wants is a little privacy and a quiet place to raise her autistic daughter, Hailey. Redwood Ridge, Oregon, seems to offer all the right ingredients. Except for the problem of the local sexy veterinarian. The last thing she needs in her life is to fall for his irresistible allure, even if he is a nice guy who keeps doing her favors. But the well-meaning patrons of her new hometown have other ideas, and it appears playing Cupid is one of them.
Cade O’Grady has never met a woman he couldn't handle, but when Avery Stowe walks into his office late one night cradling an injured puppy, he’s struck stupid. Which might explain her total lack of interest in him. But now that she’s working for his family’s clinic, he doesn't have to lust from a distance. He might just have a chance at convincing Avery—and her too-guarded heart—that falling for the right man isn't a mistake . . .

This is the first book I’ve read by Kelly Moran and it won’t be the last! This is a great beginning of a new series and I look forward to reading more of these three hot Veterinarian brothers!

Avery is on her way to Redwood Ridge, Oregon to live in her mom’s town with her autistic daughter, Hailey. Her and her husband, Richard have divorced and Avery decided it was time for a fresh start and to find herself after being what he wanted her to be for 10 years. Exhausted from her trip, her mom and her fall asleep on the couch and she wakes up and feels cold air in the room. The door is open and Hailey is missing! Luckily, it snowed and she can see the direction that Hailey went. She find her and she’s covered in blood! Freaking out she checks Hailey over and realizes she’s cradling a hurt puppy. They rush the puppy to the vet.

Cade is one of three brothers that works at his family’s clinic. He’s the youngest, the most fun and the playboy who doesn’t want commitment! He’s had a horrible day and when someone is banging on his door late at night, he knows it isn’t going to get any better. He finds a woman, a little girl and an injured puppy. Of course, being a man, he assumes the worse about the puppy….a negligent owner. So he let’s her have it about being so irresponsible and she doesn’t say a word to dispute that.

Once Cade finds out the whole puppy thing was a huge misunderstanding, he goes to apologize to Avery. He doesn’t know a lot about kids, but he seems to have a soft spot for Hailey and Avery. He hits it off with both of them and attempts to shut those thoughts down….but can he? Can these two that have no interest in relationships have one?
This was such a sweet book! I fell in love with Cade even when he assumed the worse about Avery. It’s like him and her were kindred spirits from the beginning, but they both were fighting it! I gotta admit Hailey made me very uncomfortable and I kinda read through her parts faster, but, that’s just me. It was a great story, very well written! I look forward to reading more of this series and I’m guessing/hoping each hot Vet brother gets their own love story! Reviewed by Judy

Cade is considered the quintessential play boy. In his family of eligible hotness, he is the most sought after. The youngest most playful of the brothers and the most accessible. He doesn’t have to work for it and he doesn’t feed lines or play with emotions. He doesn’t do anything serious.

Until he meets a woman that can make him disgusted and turned on at the same time. Misreading the situation, Cade assumes the worst about Avery (hence the disgust) but can’t help to notice all the rest of her too.

Avery thinks the prickly vet, aka the Jerk, is just another example of men being men. Finally divorced from the tool she married, it’s clear her opinion of men could use some work but Avery has no intention of changing it. No men, no relationships, no love. Just no.

Well, somethings are easier said than done…
Two commitment phobes for different reasons finding out they know nothing about love. Reviewed by Rebecca
