She’s ready for whatever her father throws at her, but she wasn’t prepared for the ex-SAS sniper who’s about to tilt her world.

Jake Sharp was distracted from duty once before and the consequences was truly heartbreaking. He’s warn never to let that happen again, but accepting to bodyguard Camille Logan might just be his undoing. The more time Jake is around Camille he’s able to see the real woman underneath which shifts Jake’s focus that goes further then what he’s being paid for.

Will Jake be able to find a balance between protecting and wanting her?

Jodi Ellen Malpas has written an exceptional story! I felt connected with Jake from the first page and the chemistry between the two was amazing, but also intense at times. You couldn’t help, but just get sucked into the story. I tried to make the story last for me, but overtime I put it down I would instantly pick it up again. Jake is trying to cope with his past by using women and alcohol, but even that doesn’t keep the demons at bay. Camille is portrayed wrongly by the media as they label her a spoiled brat even though she’s fighting for her own freedom where her father isn’t holding her life in his hands. I enjoyed seeing these two characters beat their odds and also be each other’s comfort while they make these transitions.
