IN MY ARMS TONIGHT by Sasha Clinton was a really good read, it all the elements that you look for in a political/romance novel, Kat and Alex really swept me away with their story.

The story in this book was very well written and the plot was very fast paced, from page one of this book I was hooked and the characters in this book were wonderfully written and well developed, however I have to say that at first I did not see the sparks between Kat and Alex, but as the book goes on I see how deeply Alex cares for Kat.

Kat and Alex meet when they both decide to take the subway at the same time, but the wrong time for Kat when someone attacks her but Alex comes to the rescue, as a side note you all should know that Alex is running for Mayor of New York, so when someone posts a video of Alex beating the guy who attacked Kat, its spun so that it looks like Alex attacked the guy for no reason. In order to help save face for Alex, Kat decides to come forward and tell the city what really happened. Alex and Kat start a secret relationship when Alex happens upon Kat’s doorstep while campaigning and that’s when the sparks really start to come alive, but as with any relationship there are always bumps in the road and for Alex and Kat when Kat is asked to write a story (she is apolitical journalist) exposing Alex’s past. Will Kat be able to write the story she has been asked to or will she put her relationship with Alex ahead of her career?

IN MY ARMS TONIGHT by Sasha Clinton was my very first read by this author, and I was not disappointed, I just wish there was more to Kat and Alex’s story, it seems a little unfinished. I would give IN MY ARMS TONIGHT 4/5 stars. – Reviewed by Kendra Needs
